Welcome! My name is Vlordrik V. Burhoe, I have made this blog to keep track of and share the things I find interesting. I am based in Rhode Island, USA, and most of my hobbies take place there. Rhode Island is the smallest state in the US, and is often overlooked in regards to it’s natural history. This page exists so that hopefully naturalism, in the manner of studying organisms, natural phenomena, and human interactions with nature can be more widely participated with in the ocean state.

I graduated from the University of Rhode Island in May of 2025 with a bachelors in Anthropology and Biology, and an associates in Geology and Underwater Historical Archaeology. My main interests are Experimental Archaeology and Archaeometry, Phycology, Bryology, Evolutionary Biology, Cladistics, and Paleontology.

Introduction
Cyanobacteria are the most basal group of all algae. They are most often called Blue-green algae, and are spread across the whole world. they exist on every continent, and are responsible for the earliest macrofossils, stromatilites. They are predominant in freshwater enviornments, with only a few marine species. As far as we know, cyanobacteria were the very first oxygenic photosynthesizers. on earth.
